Julia’s House SkyDive 2016
‘Amazing: wow! Sailing in 3D… don’t think, just do it!’ Christine
‘There is nothing like jumping out of a perfectly good plane from 15,000 feet strapped to a total stranger.’ Cat
Julia’s House, which supports children with life limiting conditions and disabilities, thro its Dorset and Wiltshire hospices, organised a World Record SkyDive event for Saturday, 11 June 2016. Catherine from Lottery Admin and Christine in HR leapt at the challenge!
The weather held good – cloud above 8,000 ft. ensured that it was truly a leap into the unknown.
Exhilarating freefall from 15,000 ft. at 125 mph to roughly 6,000 ft. and ‘open-chutes’ with visibility across the Salisbury Plain – Old Sarum, Salisbury Cathedral and beyond.
The LFS team together raised over £800 for the charity – enough to support 60 individual play sessions for children in the charity’s care.
